Never Grow Up

When Elizabeth was 4, she promised me she would stop growing and stay little forever. Here we are today, her 20th birthday, with a promise broken. It was a lot to ask, I get it, time rolls on whether we want it to or not.
My girl has grown up a lot in the 16 years since. I don't know if I could describe Liz in just a few words but since I am her momma, I can say for certain that she is extraordinary. She's a lover of movies and live music. She adores her cats and her grandparents. She worries about her mom and dad often. She's anxious and stubborn. Moody and sensitive (she gets it honestly). She loves big cities and adventure. She has a huge heart but can hide away sometimes. She's quirky and funny and so very smart. She wants great things for herself but doesn't know how to get there.. yet.
I could go on and on but I will let some pictures do the talking. Here's my Liz.
Baby Liz
Adventurer
Concert Goer
Just Liz
With this, I send the happiest of 20th birthdays to Liz, who will always be my baby girl. I know we've had a rough year and despite that fleeting promise, I am so grateful to be able to see you grow up.

Love this so much
